Before She Speaks, She Listens
Bonnie’s work is shaped by a lifelong commitment to listening deeply, asking thoughtful questions, and honoring the complexity of people’s lives. She brings warmth, curiosity, and steady presence into every space she enters.
Her speaking is grounded in real experience, reflective practice, and a deep belief that meaningful change begins with honest conversation.
Bonnie’s Approach
Bonnie creates spaces where people feel seen, safe, and invited into meaningful dialogue. Her style blends storytelling, thoughtful inquiry, humor, and real-world experience.
She does not lecture.
She listens, reflects, and walks with audiences through complex ideas in accessible ways.
Each session is designed to be intellectually engaging, emotionally grounded, and genuinely human.
Experience & Background
Bonnie brings over twenty years in disaster response and community resilience, including training 250+ communities through FEMA, building continuity programs at Tulane University, and holding one of fewer than 700 Master Business Continuity Professional certifications worldwide. She co-developed FEMA's national curriculum for Disaster Debris Management and Evacuation Planning, served as Board Chair for Evacuteer.org, and authored the Community Evacuation Plan for the City of New Orleans.
That professional foundation now informs her work through The Returning Project, where she bridges personal growth with professional practice, helping individuals and organizations navigate change with integrity and wisdom.
